MOSHANNON STATE FOREST F4: Moshannon State Forest recap, Survivors Remember Parker Dam Tornado 30 Years Later, 30-Year Anniversary of Deadly Tornado Outbreak (WNEP),

The Moshannon State Forest tornado left a near 70-mile path of destruction across Clearfield, Centre, and Clinton Counties. Roughly 88,000 trees and 10 homes were destroyed as the monster F4 plowed through the wilderness of north central PA.

The Wheatland-Hermitage tornado remains the most intense recorded tornado in Pennsylvania history. The F5 twister destroyed over 100 homes, snapped trees at their bases, and tore up sections of pavement as it passed through several towns in Mercer County.
